Drill Repair Technician

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, we are looking for an experienced Drill Repair Technician to join the team in our Nisku, AB Division.

Responsibilities :

The Drill Repair Technician is a key member of the Equipment Division. The role responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Good comprehension when reading information and / or receiving verbal instructions as required to perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Advanced hydraulics knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
• Conduct full rebuild of the following drills : HL1560, HL710, RD314, RD315, RD525, COP1838+, MD20, HC50, HC25 as well as Stopers and Jacklegs following OEM guidelines
• Inspect equipment for correct performance according to OEM specifications
• Perform diagnostic testing to identify defects and determine the solution to solve the problem
• Assist in conducting minor and major repairs on mining equipment such as CAT trucks and scoops etc.
• Test repaired components to ensure correct performance according to OEM specifications
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and or systems
• From time to time, you may be required to provide coverage on project sites
