The Field Applications Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for managing and supporting the Applications team members for Canada . Includes on the job mentoring, guidance for customer conflict situations, planning and mentoring for project management, planning for team skill set development, approving expense reports, and PTO requests.
This position is part of the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Field Service Group located in Mississauga ON Canada and will be fully remote . At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Canadian Field Service Group and report to the Martin Ruel, Director of Service and Applications Support responsible for managing the Applications team to successfully delivering on company driven KPIs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to :
Lead a team of Field Applications Specialists; be responsible for their training and professional development; establishing goals and objectives; and leading the recruitment process to bring the right candidates to the team.
Drive P&L and operational performance around safety, compliance, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, customer on-time-delivery, resource capacity, employee satisfaction, and expense lines.
Deliver impact at the Canadian Organization level, by supporting leading projects, applying DBS (Danaher Business System) to map improvement plans, drive sustainable and continuous improvements.
Advance strategic NACO & Canadian Organizational projects expanding operational, analytical, and technical capabilities of your area and the entire applications organization.
Manage and solve high-pressure, complex customer problems within your area; as well as, contributing to solutions for systemic customer issues and initiatives at a Canadian and NACO level.
Regularly visit clients and customers to maintain customer network and develop new relationships for new opportunities in partnering with sales and service teams.
Represent the Canadian Applications organization at an executive level regularly and as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include :
Bachelor’s Degree with 14+ years’ experience OR master’s degree with 12+ years’ experience
4+ years’ experience in people management (direct reports) and previous experience in the medical device or regulated industry
Proven experience in customer support role interfacing with senior customer management personnel
Knowledge of customer relationships and customer satisfaction methodologies
Ability to travel up to 50% across Canada.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :
Bachelors in medical technology and Master’s in Business Administration
Knowledge of the medical diagnostic industry - specifically its trends, pitfalls, and challenges
Knowledge of diagnostic analyzers – specifications and performance standards (CLIA and CAP) and Canadian healthcare legislation
This is a remote, work from home position, with frequent travel required to assist the team and participate in Canadian Leadership Meetings
