Overview

Territory Sales Account Manager (Digital Industries) – Windsor, Ontario. Join Siemens to drive growth by developing and executing the sales strategy for industrial products and solutions in the Windsor region.

What will you do?

As a Territory Sales Account Manager, you will develop and execute the sales strategy for industrial products and solutions to drive sustained growth in the region. You will grow sales by building new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to win over target customers. Your understanding of value-added services will be vital when establishing partnerships with customers to provide advisory technical solutions. If you are driven to surpass customer expectations and act with a sense of urgency, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Leverage all available sales resources to deliver optimal results.
    • Identify and select new automation and control business opportunities with assigned customers and territories with expert support for different product lines.
    • Work closely with Sales Specialists, as well as with distributors.
    • Lead strategic account analysis activities to develop action plans, identify opportunities, and define targeted strategies and actions.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers to generate business opportunities.
    • Anticipate and evaluate customer needs to offer productive consultations.
  • Opportunity Management & Target Achievement
    • Identify, qualify, and maintain a sufficient volume of opportunities to achieve orders and targets.
    • Maintain sales volume in CRM and other internal systems, create forecasts and gap-closing measures.
    • Design and prepare business proposals tailored to customer needs and strategic goals.
  • Industry Knowledge & Professional Achievement
    • Stay current with industry developments and seek relevant memberships where possible.
    • Continuously enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.

Location

This position covers the Windsor, Ontario territory.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or electro-mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience: 5+ years in technical sales, business development or consulting in the industrial sector with domain expertise.
  • Good understanding of automation products (PLC, HMI, IPC, industrial networking, security and SCADA) and their applications.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of industrial automation products, motor controls, drives, and motion controls.
  • Experience with or ability to learn technical and financial estimation tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.

  • Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to change while maintaining ethics and confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
