Trades Discovery Instructors

Job Summary

The College of New Caledonia is looking for part-time instructors to teach in the Trades Discovery Program. Skills & Qualifications

• An Interprovincial Trades Qualification is preferred but not required
• Three years of experience working in the construction industry, specifically Carpentry, Electrical, Welding and / or Plumbing or Pipefitting.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and / or supervisory experience.
• The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.
• Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset.

Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience, teaching experience, college contributions, community awareness and personal attributes so far as they are applicable to the job classification in question.
