The hourly rate for this role, based in British Columbia is $20.50, rate will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries Hourly Rates are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

Currently, Corby is seeking a Part-time Merchandiser for the territory of Kelowna (travel includes Vernon through to Osoyoos ) , to join our dynamic British Columbia Sales team.

Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Merchandiser is accountable for building and maintaining customer relationships, at a store level, within their region / territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and support to key accounts such as BC Liquor Stores, licensed retail stores and on-premise accounts by utilizing high-level product and consumer knowledge and superior customer relations skills.
• Apply promotions to Corby product portfolio as approved by customer’s head office. Promotional items consist of but are not limited to;

neck tags, non-liquor value-add items, near packs, gift box or bags, and rebate coupons.

• Build displays with product and / or build display units which will host product or non-liquor value adds.
• Audit implementation of promo programs at outlet level such as shelf talker, LTO cards, display card signage.
• Report inventory issues to Sales Manager promptly or where possible handle the situation themselves so that it can be addressed with store staff.
• Promote and increase sales within accounts through aggressive execution of national and regional marketing strategies.
• Responsible for promotional displays and achieving / maintaining shelving objectives within account locations.
• Increase overall distribution of core and agency brands within accounts.
• Ability to lift 40lbs, (lifting spirit and wine cases, display units and receiving and unloading pallets at the warehouse).

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong Customer Service Experience with proven success in a Sales / Service environment
• Industry related sales experience an asset
• Time management and organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Travel required (local) - must have valid driver's license and use of vehicle
• Team oriented
• Must have BC Serving It Right Certification
• Must have access to a computer and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Additional Information

• 24 hour work week
• Part-time hours are 3 days a week 8 hour shifts, with flexibility between work weeks. During October, November and December you will have the ability to work 5 days a week as it is our busy season
• Successful Candidate must be located in the Kelowna area
• Must be flexible to work the following days : Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and / or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Successful applicant may be asked to assist in the occasional consumer tasting or promotional event outside of regular working hours
• Must have valid drivers license and full time use of vehicle while working. Car allowance offered
• Candidates must have drivers license and full -time use of vehicle while working - Car allowance offered $50.00 per day
