Intermediate Network Analyst

Client Industry :   Healthcare IT

Location :   Greater Vancouver, BC

  • This role requires a significant amount of onsite presence and travel to local deployment sites. The Client will not be providing a travel allowance for such presence. Candidates must be located within British Columbia’s Greater Vancouver Area.

Terms :  12 Month Contract (1x 12 Month extension available)

Start Date : ASAP

End Date :  12 Months from Start Date

Hours :   Full Time ( - 40 Hours / Week)

Project Details :

The Project Services department is responsible for delivering a wide range of IT infrastructure projects for the Health Authorities of British Columbia. We are searching for Network Analysts to work on projects to upgrade network equipment in acute hospital communication rooms within the Lower Mainland.

Services Required :

  • Ability to replace core switches. (Migration of settings from legacy to new, etc.)
  • Ability to replace edge switches. (Migration of settings from legacy to new, etc.)
  • Configure routing, firewall and NAT policies on internet firewalls.
  • Coordinate with vendor to replace a legacy Metro circuit with a new CE circuit.
  • Support the vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement.
  • Coordinate vendor decommissioning of legacy metro circuit.
  • Site preparation for installation(s).
  • Provide support with additional hardware components related to the work above.
  • Physical labour related to the work above.
  • Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required.
  • Specific Qualifications or Experience Required :

    Work Experience :

    A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a program such as communications technology plus appropriate vendor network certification, and four (4) years of recent data networking experience.

    Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with network equipment implementation / planning, site assessments, application of network standards and network issue problem-solving / troubleshooting.

    Professional level vendor certification (such as CCNP, PCNSE, etc.) would be an asset.

    Seniority Level Description : Intermediate

  • A Degree in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of two (2) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • A Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of three (3) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • A Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of four (4) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • An absolute minimum of six (6) years of directly related Consulting Category experience.
