Bravado Designs office is located at 610 Applewood Crescent, Vaughan, Ontario L4K 0E3. Team members work on a hybrid basis between in office and remote days.

Position Objective :

Our ecommerce channel plays a significant role, acting as our global flagship stores and the primary face of our brand to consumers and customers alike, while also being an important driver of our overall sales.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Marketing, the Ecommerce Designer has an eye for digital design aesthetic and a keen understanding of how to effectively manage an intimate apparel website to drive engagement and conversion. This role is accountable to ensure our ecommerce sites, powered by Shopify, are providing the best possible UX to our visitors through thoughtful engagement and conversion-focused design, along with ongoing optimizations and maintenance. We aim to constantly leverage the power and flexibility of Shopify to help us excel in our ecommerce efforts.

This role is multi-faceted supporting both the technical and design elements of all 3 of our websites while working collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure all sites are operating at their optimal level. This is achieved through effective use of the Shopify platform capabilities and integrating seamlessly with our ERP, SEO optimization, overall UX and integration and implementation of new apps. The Ecommerce Designer works in a manner consistent with Bravado’s Values and Behaviours.

Position Responsibilities :

Merchandising, Website Design & UX :

  • Design, develop, audit, merchandise and optimize Bravado Designs family of Shopify including user journey, mobile-first design experience, adhering to brand guidelines and increasing opportunities
  • Ideate, create, execute and own the end-to-end look, feel and experience on our sites
  • Own merchandising of products on all 3 websites. Leveraging knowledge shared through the business to ensure products are consistently being audited and optimized to drive engagement and conversion
  • Work cross-functionally to test, implement, and adjust our site to accommodate organizational / business changes i.e. returns portal, B2B portal, updated global pricing changes, shipping and returns policies and forms, testing of new site offerings
  • Implement & maintain Shopify apps / 3rd party platforms wherever possible vs. custom coding

Website Optimization & Ongoing Maintenance :

  • Work closely with Marketing colleagues to help plan and implement ongoing engaging and conversion-focused digital assets
  • Implement optimizations leading to conversions, while sourcing opportunities leveraging Shopify approved apps
  • Implement all promotional periods ensuring there is no conflict with other site offers to minimize issues and optimize experience for the consumer
  • Where unable to execute independently, work with freelance developers to implement special functionality to the sites managing the work, requirements, testing, timelines and Q / A final product to ensure we are consistently utilizing the functional opportunities that Shopify Plus offers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and work with Shopify team to resolve swiftly
  • Crop imagery for website use and to support internal teams as required
  • Stay informed and current, and own all privacy settings and forms across each ecommerce site to ensure Bravado is working within the regulatory guidelines for each market
  • Work with our SEO / Google advertising partner to implement required technical updates / changes to ensure our pixels are tracking properly and our catalogues are complete and set up properly for display in Google shopping
  • Work closely with the Customer Service team to understand consumer experience with respect to our websites and make recommendations and implement solutions for improvement
  • Monitor best in class ecommerce sites with insights and learnings to the team for consideration
  • Qualifications & Required Experience :

  • Must have 3 - 5 years’ experience in :
  • website design & UX, digital graphic design
  • in-depth Shopify experience
  • building & designing ecommerce-specific sites and proven track record of results
  • Must have advanced knowledge and skills of Shopify Liquid templating language
  • Must understand Shopify Apps and have ability to install, test and resolve issues
  • Must have experience working with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Skills, knowledge and experience working with Klaviyo preferred, & with Github an asset
  • Must have knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console & Google Tag Manager
  • Experience working with Adobe Premier, InDesign and Figma, and JavaScript libraries i.e.jQuery
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Suite
  • Post-secondary education with specialty or certification in Shopify website design & development
