AMAZON LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
The Amazon logistics coordinator will work within our Logistics / Operations team to manage all logistics aspects for Amazon and be a central point of contact for the Amazon sales operations team.
They will be responsible for being a liaison with customers, manufacturers, freight forwarders, 3PL, and internal teams for the Amazon account.
This person will help to track and calendar the flow of merchandise for Amazon and work to update internal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinating shipment from factory / cargo launch
- Coordinate Amazon compliance documents with engineering team
- Managing forwarder / vessel / fleet booking
- Executing 3PL warehouse orders with outbound logistics team
- Act as main point of contact for sales team and clients to gather customer / vendor requirements and customer orders
- Maintain trackers, logs, and systems for orders, inventory, etc.
- Compile data and reports for customers and senior management on a consistent basis
- Coordinate shipment of merchandise (inbound / outbound) with manufacturers, freight forwarders and shipment carriers, as well as preparing appropriate documentation
- Coordinating the day to day shipping and administrative tasks necessary for ensuring the successful / timely production, transportation and delivery of merchandise
- Frequent communication and follow-up with multiple forwarders / carriers and customs broker to ensure shipping / customs clearance / delivery is on track
- Frequent communication with different departments as necessary to advise status of shipments
- Ensure customer compliance (based on customer ship guides) to avoid chargebacks / delays
- Expect extra follow-up with factories / forwarders / delivery DCs if / when POs were shipped incorrectly
- Data Entry : Make sure to properly record status of all shipments in real time
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 1-3 years experience in operations, logistics and / or account coordination in a consumer driven business
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, inventory management systems and sales systems
- Knowledge of customs, particularly the Canadian and American Border agencies a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proven track record multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pro-active self-starter, disciplined, solution-oriented with a strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree or secondary degree a plus
