Job description

Position Summary :

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Business Performance, the Director, Business Performance applies disciplined analytics and entrepreneurial insights to drive superior performance and business excellence across the organization focusing on assigned product categories, with the initial product category being Fresh Pork.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Leadership to drive margin expansion projects with Commercial and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales and Marketing teams to manage and make decisions on prices, sales programs, promotions, and product innovation to drive superior business results.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing leaders to develop pricing strategies and manage margins.
  • Apply relevant business insights and knowledge to generate sound decision-making within the company’s Commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders to manage operating costs and drive operational excellence.
  • Use disciplined analysis, modeling, and forecasting to inspire and drive superior performance.
  • Continuous improvement of performance reporting and decision-making methodology to support the growing business.

Requirements :

  • 10 years plus experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment, with Primary Processing sector background preferred.
  • 5 years plus of progressive experience working in a director or senior manager role.
  • Post-Secondary education in finance with an accounting designation, CPA, or MBA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated solid business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Travel required as per business need.
  • Collaboration in office in Markham and Burlington offices required.
