System Engineer

Sagemcom Broadband Solutions is looking for a System Engineer to manage the development and support of our Gateway & Extender product line for Telecom operators in Canada. Eager to work on the latest Hardware & Software technologies for Broadband operators, you will drive innovative projects with cross-functional teams of Sagemcom and our customers from initial concept specification to commercial deployment and ongoing technical support.

Reporting to the VP of Broadband Solutions also based in Canada, the System Engineer will contribute to leading edge projects from initial concept specification and pre-sales activities to customer certification for commercial deployment and feature evolutions. Hands-on and well organized, the System Engineer will be instrumental to the success of problem resolution and troubleshooting. This position is attached to our office in Montreal and may require some occasional travel.

Responsibilities :

• Support new product introduction and software upgrades through product testing, technical support and troubleshooting.
• Act as a 3rd level support for our customers and the point of contact between our customers and our R&D teams.
• Work with our customers, system engineers, programmers and product management to turn customer requirements into technical specifications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on all thigs related to our products, internet access and home networking.
• Coordinate and organize product demos and proof of concepts.
• Create and present technology roadmaps, technical proposals and project updates.
• Prioritization of critical activities and tickets.
• Reporting, monitoring and continuous improvement of product KPIs in the field.
• Management of customer expectations and satisfaction.
