Responsibilities :
- PMO Implementation : Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive PMO framework from scratch, including methodologies, governance structures, and best practices.
- Project Oversight : Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management : Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align PMO objectives with business goals, provide regular updates, and address any issues or risks.
- Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Resource Management : Develop and manage a project portfolio, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and technology.
- Reporting and Analytics : Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms to track project performance, KPIs, and overall PMO effectiveness, providing insights and leading continual improvement.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years experience in technical project management, with at least 2 years in a PMO leadership role.Proven experience implementing a PMO from the ground up.PMP, Agile Scrum, PRINCE2, or similar certifications.Experience managing COTS software implementations, ideally in the consumer goods industry.Preferred Skills :
Strategic Thinking : Ability to align project management practices with business strategy and objectives.Leadership : Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.Analytical Skills : Proficient in project management tools and software (MS Project, JIRA, etc), with strong analytical skills for interpreting data and making informed decisions.This role is hybrid, located in Richmond BC.
