Role overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team in Lambeth on an ongoing locum basis. This full-time role sits at the heart of the Living Well Network Alliance, an innovative, integrated partnership delivering community-based mental health services alongside organisations including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Certitude, Thames Reach, and Lambeth NHS CCG.

What you will do

• Support adults with mental health needs to move from placements towards more independent living arrangements.
• Complete strength-based assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
• Work collaboratively with health, housing, and voluntary sector partners to deliver integrated mental health services.
• Actively contribute to safeguarding adults, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and escalated appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records in line with statutory guidance.
• Apply evidence-based practice, drawing on research, online journals, and professional resources.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Significant post-qualifying experience working within adult mental health services.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Care Act duties, and mental health legislation.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
