We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator for one of Canada’s largest transportation companies. This role is based in Port Coquitlam, BC, and requires a strong background in logistics and transportation, including experience with LTL, FTL, and cross-border shipping.
Key Responsibilities :
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL shipments.
- Source and manage carrier relationships, ensuring top service and pricing.
- Coordinate and oversee daily shipments, tracking and tracing loads from pickup to delivery.
- Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate timely and efficient transportation services.
- Ensure the Transportation Management System (TMS) is up-to-date with accurate shipment data.
- Respond to customer requests and issues with urgency and attention to detail.
- Handle any shipment delays, security issues, or other challenges promptly.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Assist in margin improvement through cost management and optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams on rates, pricing, and carrier qualifications.
Qualifications :
Experience in logistics coordination, with a focus on cross-border full-truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping.Previous experience in a third-party logistics (3PL) or transportation brokerage role.Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established leader in the transportation industry.
