Back-End PHP Engineer

As part of our continued expansion, were on the lookout for a skilled Back-End PHP Engineer to join our team who design, implement, maintain, and automate both internal and external applications for our global organization.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and delivering exceptional software and has an eye for creative solutions, high quality output and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Back-End PHP Engineer, you will be responsible for :

Participate in the development of new and existing software applications and features based on company requirements

Act as a technical resource within the team, acting as a point of reference and mentoring others

Ensure quality and security standards are maintained

Perform the testing of new software and features prior to deployment

Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, making recommendations with Head of Dept & Leadership Team

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required :

Knowledge and experience of backend PHP and Python development

Comfortable with Object-Oriented Programming and code refactoring

Knowledge and experience with docker and other container technologies

Knowledge of modern development frameworks

Experience with JavaScript and front-end development (HTML, CSS)

Experience with change management in a corporate environment (GIT)

Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven problem-solving ability

Very Comfortable with Linux environments

Desired :

• Knowledge of Reactive front-end development (vue.js)
• Experience with CI / CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible)
