About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join Lightspeed’s Data Science Enablement team. The focus of the team is to build the tools, frameworks, and best practices that support building production ML / AI solutions at Lightspeed. The role is central to our mission of enabling entrepreneurs worldwide through lending products powered by ML models. As a global company with employees and clients outside Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement scalable ML infrastructure, including data and model pipelines.
• Build and evolve the MLOps platform, enabling automation of the full ML lifecycle.
• Integrate leading ML frameworks and tools into Lightspeed’s ecosystem.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based ML workloads, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
• Partner with data scientists to streamline experimentation and deployment workflows.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize model performance in production.
• Mentor teammates and promote best practices in ML engineering.
