Office of the Chief Information Officer - Executive Council

Reporting to the Information Management Consultant responsible for Advisory Services, this position performs advanced advisory, analytical, and supervisory work focused on supporting departments and other public bodies in the implementation of an information management (IM) and information protection (IP) program. Working as part of a team, the incumbent will be expected to provide support on the IM policy framework for government, including analysis of existing IM procedures for the use and management of information. This position will work closely with clients to assist in determining best approaches and activities to move their IM capacity forward.

The Senior Information Management Analyst is responsible for providing guidance on IM compliance requirements and will be expected to assist in developing IM guidelines, standards, directives, and policies for use by departments and other public bodies. Within the OCIO, they will be responsible for conducting Information Management Assessments for new IT systems and working with the Information Protection division and the ATIPP Office to ensure completion of all necessary documentation in the System Development Lifecycle. Additionally, they will provide education and awareness supports and subject matter advice to project teams regarding IM.

Screening Criteria

• Diploma in Office Administration or Records / Information Management (equivalencies will be considered)
• Experience in records and information management (IM)
• Experience with policy and / or procedure development
• Experience assisting with IM program delivery
• Experience delivering training / presentations to groups (asset)
• Experience in conducting policy analysis and research (asset)
