Job Description

We are seeking a skilled labourer with glazing experience to assist in the installation of large steel-framed windows in a commercial building. The role involves using hand tools, moving and lifting heavy materials, and ensuring precision with a level. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Assist glaziers in the installation of large steel-framed windows.
• Utilize hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Move and lift heavy materials as required.
• Ensure accurate leveling during installation.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in construction.
• 1+ years of experience installing windows or glass.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Proficiency in using hand tools.
• WHMIS certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of Division 8, 10, and 28.
• Experience with low voltage wiring.
• Skills in welding and fabrication, particularly MIG welding.
• Ability to interpret and work from blueprints.

Work Environment

The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday during the day, with potential for overtime as the project progresses. The project duration may extend beyond initial expectations. The worksite is safety-focused, requiring adherence to all safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
