What are your contributions to the team?
- Manage the procurement and flow of materials in order to meet scheduled operating needs within the set budget.
- Manage suppliers to Ensure the timely delivery of parts in accordance with customer priorities.
- Ensure disposal of obsolete / inactive inventory
- Coordinate inter-site demand as required.
- Reduce as many as possible discrepancies and deviations from suppliers by proposing lasting solutions, and by raising the supplier’s awareness to the impact of their work on profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory level and in-flow.
- Release planned orders to relevant purchasing documentation.
- Manage activities of non-conforming materials to meet schedule.
- Manage incoming shipments (traffic in-bound)
- Ensure documentation is compliant to internal and external regulations (snags, C of Cs)
- Participate in improvement projects and demand to supply process (cost reductions, Six Sigma, manufacturing improvements, TAC, BMIS, SAP, etc.)
- Support sourcing teams in negotiations and commodity projects.
- Manage workload and quickly prioritize tasks that create the greatest value to the company and internal and external customers.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience :
- You have a bachelor's degree in administration or operations management.
- You have five (3) to eight (8) years of experience in Materials or Inventory Management
- You have work experience in external production (OP) an asset.
- You have experience or knowledge of SAP an asset.
- You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer-focused.
- You have good analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential.
