CEDA is currently seeking a Class 1, 45 Ton Picker Truck Operator for our Bonnyville, AB location.

Candidates must be local to the area, or willing to relocate.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

• Operate and maintain picker trucks and / or boom trucks
• Haul, load, and off-load equipment
• Understand and obey all provincial and federal highway rules and regulations
• Ensure equipment meets operation and safety requirements
• Take part in all safety meetings
• Operate company vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe and courteous manner
• Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports, log book and safety documents
• Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision

Qualifications :

• Valid class 1 licence Current 3 year abstract required (with no more than 5 demerits in last 2 years)
• Journeyman Picker Truck Certification would be an asset
• Driving a manual transmission is in your nature, you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience operating a picker truck
• Willing to get your CSO certification
• Must have a valid H2S Alive certificate
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Able to travel throughout Alberta (flexibility in schedule is required)

Skills :

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to plan and organize tasks meeting deadlines with high performance
