MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a SharePoint Delivery Lead for a 12 month contract role with a client of ours located in Calgary
Responsibilities :
Lead the planning and delivery of SharePoint migration and rollout initiatives across the organization
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation
Define and standardize processes for content review, requirements gathering, site delivery, data migration, training, and governance
Oversee SharePoint site migrations using Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO)
Establish and enforce governance frameworks, including quality assurance, approval gates, and compliance standards
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, budgets, and inter-project dependencies
Provide technical leadership on SharePoint and M365 design decisions, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements
Oversee implementation of M365 data repositories aligned with Government Records Management Standards
Develop and implement retention label strategies using Microsoft Purview
Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, and reporting to ensure transparency and adoption
Drive change management initiatives and oversee end-user training and enablement
Facilitate workshops to identify pain points, define roadmaps, and improve user experience
Ensure project closure activities are completed, including documentation of lessons learned and best practices
Requirements :
5+ years Project Management experience delivering technology or digital-workplace projects.
PMP certified (or in progress).
3+ large SharePoint migrations (100+ sites each), including on-prem / DFS to SharePoint Online.
knowledge of M365 / SharePoint Online, including site architecture, permissions, metadata, and modern site design.
Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for work management.
Familiarity with migration tools such as ShareGate or equivalent.
Understanding of Records Management, retention labels, and Microsoft Purview (asset).
Strong stakeholder communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and end-user change / adoption.
