Facilities Coordinator – Alberta Government
Government of Alberta – Infrastructure Ministry – Calgary, Alberta. Full‑time, permanent. 36.25 hrs per week (Mon‑Fri 8 : 15‑4 : 30).
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain an assigned building / land portfolio, supervising in‑house staff and managing Total Property Management (TPM) contracts, leases, Transportation Utility Corridor (TUC) agreements and Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement (ASAP) agreements.
- Plan, administer contract specifications, oversee delivery of maintenance and tenant‑improvement projects, ensuring compliance with standards, codes and legislation.
- Provide leadership to deliver high‑quality operations and maintenance services, coordinating resources and programs to support safe, cost‑effective and efficient portfolio operation.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, landlords, ministry representatives and the public to maintain operational standards and meet client and program delivery requirements.
Qualifications – Required
Two‑year technical diploma in a related field plus six years related experience.Equivalency
Experience or education may be considered as one year of experience for one year of education or vice versa.Assets
Infrastructure Ministry operations, policies and guidelines.Property management experience : building maintenance, budgeting, accounting, health and safety.Project coordination / management experience : contract and lease documentation.Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes and standards (building, fire, OHS, FOIP).Benefits
