CIMA+'s Rouyn-Noranda office is seeking a Technician, Civil Engineering to contribute to constructing various structures in the region. As part of a multidisciplinary team, your skills will be essential. You will collaborate closely with CIMA+ engineers to respond to drawing production requests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with drawing design and specifications using CAD tools for structural projects such as bridges, overpasses, and buildings.
• Ensure drawings and specifications comply with guidelines, codes, and regulations.
• Prepare quantity estimates and material calculations for projects.
• Visit construction sites for surveys necessary for drawing and specification production.
• Participate in the design and rehabilitation of bridges, road structures, and buildings.
• Support on-site construction supervision and technical support.
• Perform other tasks supporting project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma of college studies (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent training.
• At least three years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proof of health and safety training from ASP Construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Excellent French communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Completion of MTQ training on structural construction and repair (asset).
• Knowledge of MTQ standards (asset).
• Experience with Power Inroads and Micro-Station software (important asset).
• Experience in consulting engineering (asset).
