The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Sales Analyst to support our Walmart and McKesson business. This hybrid role combines sales and POS analysis with inventory and replenishment oversight to drive in‑store performance, maximize in‑stock levels, and strengthen retailer partnerships. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, adept at working with large data sets, and able to translate insights into operational action.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing analytical support to maximize in‑store performance.
- Lead POS analysis by developing reporting tools, interpreting results, and delivering actionable insights for internal and retailer‑facing meetings.
- Establish and maintain weekly/monthly reporting cadence (POS, Retail Link), including performance, promotional, and category insights.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to address business needs and size NPD opportunities using internal and external benchmarks.
- Develop and implement standardized scorecards and business reporting dashboards.
Inventory, Replenishment & Supply Chain Management
- Work closely with the Replenishment Team through weekly touchpoints and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
- Monitor Walmart store‑level and regional warehouse inventory to ensure strong in‑stock levels and healthy on‑shelf availability.
- Troubleshoot fulfillment issues, resolve replenishment gaps, and support accurate order flow with customer logistics.
- Oversee end‑to‑end inventory movement, ensuring alignment between supply plans, POS trends, and sales forecasts.
- Support demand planning with pipeline, replenishment, promo, and NPD forecasting.
- Conduct seasonal and promotional analysis to optimize inventory and sales performance.
Retailer Reporting & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Prepare Walmart‑specific sales, inventory, and fill‑rate reporting for buyer meetings, line reviews, and business updates.
- Act as a key liaison between Sales, Inventory Flow, Marketing, Demand Planning, and Retailer teams to ensure flawless execution.
- Resolve operational or service issues quickly and effectively.
- Develop a deep understanding of Walmart’s omni‑channel ecosystem and emerging retail trends.
Process Optimization
Continuously identify and implement improvements in reporting, forecasting, and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and in‑market performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of sales or inventory experience with National Accounts; Walmart and McKesson experience is a strong asset.
- Post‑secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven success supporting or managing national accounts.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills; ability to connect insights to business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities; comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with Project Management tools, Priority Manager, or OneNote is an asset.
