Techmation Electric & Controls is searching for a Maintenance Coordinator / Project Manager for our Fort St. John branch . The shift is Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. We require a dynamic and experienced Electrical or Instrument Journeyman with previous maintenance experience in the industrial sector. This person will have a continual focus on safety, cost control, client satisfaction and employee engagement.
Techmation works on a variety of Industrial Construction and Maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. You will have the opportunity to work on crucial projects with very reputable clients and have security in knowing there is continuous work.
Requirements :
- Journeyman Electrical or Instrumentation certificate with minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance setting (Upstream Oil & Gas Preferred)
- Must have a strong knowledge in both electrical and instrumentation
- Strong customer service skills; formal training would be considered an asset
- Excellent contract administration skills including the ability to review and execute the project based on the specific contract specifications
- Candidates must have knowledge or past experience with :
Process control, and measurement instrumentation on existing and new field equipment and processes (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Fisher measurement products, specifically all models of ROC devices and softwareMechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification; remove and install small piping and tubingRebuild of control valves and tune controllersPreventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement and tests as required); field instrument records and standardsProcess controlWorking knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, policies, and regulationsStrong team development and leadership skills with change management experience.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong skills in the areas of team facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influencing, process mapping, problem solving and creative solutions, stakeholder management and project managementTroubleshooting equipment and systemsUse of test equipment and hand toolsUsing manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to test, construction, and maintain equipmentInspect and test operation of instruments and systems (using pneumatic, electrical / electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments) to diagnose faultsMust have a flexible work scheduleStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsProven ability to address multiple conflicting priorities and responsibilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to present oneself in a professional manner and represent the company imageStrong advocate of a team-based environmentValid Class 5 Drivers license (non GDL)Candidates must have valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive & Fall Protection, Standard First Aid – Level A or C, and CSTS 2020 CertificatesPreference will be given to applicants located in the Fort St John area; however candidates willing to permanently relocate to the immediate area are also strongly encouraged and considered.
