Responsibilities
Customer
- Identify client life and financial goals, potential barriers, provide recommendations, and ongoing relationship/portfolio management.
- Identify opportunities to refer clients to partners (across Wealth, Retail, Small Business Banking, Commercial).
- Provide ongoing comprehensive reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, creating long‑term relationships through financial planning expertise and services.
- Create a legendary customer experience at every interaction and deliver a positive “First Impression” through sales, service, and informational conversations.
- Provide sound advice and look for ways to improve the overall customer experience.
- Support ONE TD by identifying and referring customers to internal bank partners as appropriate.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the real‑estate market, competitive offers in mortgage lending, and economic trends.
- Proactively obtain expert knowledge of TD mortgage lending products and maintain sound product knowledge.
- Handle customer problems professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Build and exhibit sales skills and credit knowledge while partnering effectively within TD’s employee‑focused culture.
- Work closely with District Manager to make sales calls and conduct monthly coaching sessions.
Shareholder
- Contribute to achieving sales and business‑development objectives by meeting or exceeding individual monthly sales targets for mortgage products and services.
- Promote TD’s image within the business community via participation and leadership in community groups, professional networking events, fundraisers, etc.
- Support the development and implementation of reporting and processes in a compliant manner, adhering to guidelines set by business unit leadership, internal and external advisors, audit, risk, OSFI, and other governing bodies.
- Understand the mortgage lending industry within the portfolio to provide value‑added reporting and analysis while mitigating risk to the bank.
- Exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all confidentiality matters.
- Protect the organization’s interests by identifying and managing risks, escalating non‑standard, high‑risk activities as necessary.
- Monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency within the function, implementing continuous process and performance improvements where opportunities exist.
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines, staying abreast of emerging issues and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite.
- Complete all compliance training and attestations within required timelines.
- Be knowledgeable of and comply with bank and industry codes of conduct.

- Support the team by enhancing knowledge and expertise in your area and participating in knowledge transfer within the unit.

- Generally reports to a manager or above.
Experience and/or Education
- Undergraduate degree or community college diploma preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in a client‑facing, sales, or relationship‑focused role.
