Position Details
What you will do :
- Review and approve incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence.
- Providing Scope review and seek clarity from the vendor on estimates, negotiate costs with vendors / contractors.
- Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews relative to the CAA member, vendors and the Insurance company.
- Provide advice to Property adjusters when exceptions are encountered.
- Coordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched.
- Participate in the industry events and various special projects for the benefit of the claims department as identified from time-to-time.
What you have :
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in building construction as a project manager or as a senior property adjuster with an insurance carrierWorking knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software.Familiarity with the building code and hazardous material exposure management.Educational background including relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards a CIP designationIICRC Fire and Water restoration certification would be an asset.Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAdvanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis.Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic.What’s In It For You :
