Full Time Registered Veterinary Technician

Alliston Veterinary Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for assisting veterinarians in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animals.

Alliston Veterinary Services is a privately-owned, 3 doctor small animal clinic located in the heart of Alliston, Ontario. We are a full service facility that provides care to canine, feline and small mammal patients.

We have access to an in house laboratory, digital dental and regular radiographs, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser. We believe our RVTs are the lifeblood of the clinic and that our doctors truly could not function without their assistance.

We also believe in work-life balance and want to ensure that our staff are able to enjoy their down time.

Responsibilities :

• Assist veterinarians in medical procedures, surgeries, and dental cleanings
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples, such as blood and urine
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist in patient care management
• Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners during hospitalization and outpatient visits
• Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of hospital equipment and facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the veterinarian or hospital manager
