As a key member of GFL’s lower mainland team for Environmental Services, you will be committed to growing market share and enhancing our client relationships for industrial and hazardous waste related services. You will be relied upon to source new business with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader. This will be achieved through relentless field level prospecting, networking and engagement with target and existing clients.

The defined sales territory is the Lower Mainland.
Job Duties
Aggressively seek out and deliver business opportunities with new clients.
Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our extensive service offerings.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure every opportunity is taken to promote the brand.
Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.
Provide market intelligence in regard to competitors and pricing strategies.
Formulate business plans and strategies to meet business development targets.
Key Accountabilities
Develop new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, sales calls generation, and by travelling throughout a defined sales territory.
Exceed revenue and margin budgets within a defined customer base & market segment year over year.
Execute an annual sales plan that meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets.
Expand business opportunities and manage relationships with existing customers.
Monitor activity levels and revenues from customers to report on performance.
Work collaboratively with GFL District Operations and Technical Group to maximize sales and service within the region.
Experience & Education
Previous experience selling industrial services considered an asset (manufacturing, heavy construction, utilities, environmental consultants etc.).
Project Management experience is a definite asset.
Successful experience with solution-based sales is a definite asset.
University or college education in Sciences, Environmental programs, or Business an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires an outgoing personality with high energy, superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader Sales Team.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
