Job description

Responsibilities

  • Performs gap analysis on prospective products and solutions and develops, designs and refines solution artifacts relative to business solutions.
  • Supports SAAS software product releases. Works with business analysts and stakeholders to assess release components and establish the approach to regression testing,  planning, testing and rolling out features.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting for complex service requests. Investigates problems  and escalates work to vendor technical support as required or works with business units and end users to resolve tickets.
  • Proactively performs root-cause analysis to identify solutions that will resolve system issues.  Works to continually and cost effectively improve solutions.
  • Supports and assists with solution design to address business problems, through automation or use of existing technologies.
  • As a data expert, assist with the design of reports and analytics dashboards by interpreting and datasets for various audiences. Provides expert advice in the design of these tools.
  • Data management, including following processes to approve and rectify incorrect data within systems.
  • Prepares system test plans and system integration test plans for new feature and system implementation rollouts.
  • Document as-built solutions. Creates and maintains system configuration documents, system, system integration documents and other technical reports.
  • Develop and manage integration processes that transfer data between source systems and the master data hub.
  • Manage power bi dashboards while identifying opportunities for continual improvements on the toolset.
  • Ability to translate technical configuration and features into business terms; effectively explain to the business and business analysts the impact of varying technical configurations.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in information management, information technology, computing science, business administration or a related discipline.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in functional solutions design, implementation and ongoing management in this or a related field.
  • Understanding and practical exposure to the systems development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting system requirements, designing, testing and defining support procedures in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience using enterprise data integration platforms such as Dell Boomi and coding against system APIs.
  • Experience and exposure to configuration management of SAAS products.
  • Experience in developing HR analytical reports using business intelligence tools such as MS Power BI or related software.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and an understanding of data modelling, ETL and database concepts.
  • Solid understanding of data management and security practices.
  • Understanding of change management practices and principles.
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong ability to work effectively and collaborate with employees at all levels and areas of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical thinker with a passion for challenges and problem solving.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules would be an asset.
