In-Home Support Worker

Job Summary:

The In-Home Support Worker supports clients living in Long-term Care and in the community. Some of these duties will include:

• Providing meal assistance

• Assisting clients to/from/during scheduled activities

• One on one client support

• Answering call bells and supporting clients with requests

• Tidy clients rooms and changing bed linens

• Facilitating leisure activities

• Engaging in indoor and outdoor games

• Performs other duties as required

• This include assisting with personal care
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum eighteen (18) years of age with demonstrated experience and relevant education.

• Outgoing, engaging personality

• Food safety training required (training will be provided if necessary).

• Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.

• Must be comfortable working with seniors with varying levels of abilities.

• Experience in maintaining a clean environment.

• Reliable transportation to Clients’ locations

• Able to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.

• Current clean criminal record and vulnerable sector checks .

• Experience or training in this field (i.e. PSW, training in feeding, etc.) would be an asset.

• Ability to work shift work as needed

Salary: $15.75/hour

Rotation: Day shifts and working every other weekend
