Your position :

The Neurology Specialist is part of a national team that is highly effective, motivated, innovative and eager to achieve sales objectives for Lundbeck Canada. The successful candidate will report to the National Business Manager, Neurology.

The safety of our patients : You are expected to immediately forward any reports of adverse events or special situations concerning our products, as well as any product complaints and counterfeit or suspected counterfeit medicine, to Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance () as per training on current procedures.

Your Position

As part of our National Sales team, the Neurology Specialist must be passionate, courageous, responsible, ambitious and patient driven in order to achieve the business goals and sales objectives of Lundbeck Canada. The Neurology Specialist reports to the National Sales Manager, Neurology.

Key responsibilities :

  • Achieve territory sales objectives for all Lundbeck promoted products in neurology.
  • Achieve reach and frequency of actions as per the business plan and objectives - including visibility on the ground —as established by the sales and marketing team for each cycle.
  • Fully understand and promote Lundbeck neurology products and services to HCPs and relevant clinics, using sales cycle promotional material in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain relations with clients (doctors, nurses, and business partners); identify their needs; inform them about Lundbeck’s high-quality products.
  • In accordance with the national strategic plan, develop a business plan and identify and implement key tactics to maximize selling efforts, to optimize growth opportunities and achieve sales objectives in their territory and nationally.
  • Manage activity territory budget to optimize reach and targeted customer interaction.
  • Collaborate with sales team members and other departments -including marketing, medical, market access teams and sales colleagues- to offer tailored solutions and maximize neurology product(s) potential and sales.
  • Prepare and analyze each visit and call as per the procedure in place (pre-call planning, SMART objectives, post-call analysis) with the goal of moving customers along the adoption ladder
  • Effectively implement needs-based, certified programs (CHEs) and other learning activities (OLAs) as per cycle plan of action and follow up to optimize impact.
  • Work closely with the Medical Science Liaison and Medical Education teams to identify educational opportunities and develop advocacy in territory.
  • Use the CRM (Customer Relations Management system) to ensure that field activities are captured and documented.
  • Use the sales and performance report system (KPIs) to optimize your performance across the territory.

Position Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business administration
  • A minimum of five (5) years of sales experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry preferably with experience in neurology or 2 years with experience in neurology
  • Mastery to present scientific data on product with clarity using promotional tools and approved clinical trials
  • Proven track record of omoting products and managing clients in a knowledge-intensive sector; experience working with neurologists an asset
  • Strong business acumen and business analytical skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Familiar with the use of technology (iPad, apps, CRM, etc.) including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, ect.)
  • Must have a valid driving licence in Canada
