POSITION TYPE TERM / FULL-TIME, TERM / PART-TIME (6 – 12 hours per week)
The therapist provides direct assessment and treatment services to students at a Winnipeg community school.
The ideal candidate should have :
- Five years of clinical experience working with youth, families, and direct service workers
- Excellent assessment and counselling skills
- Experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health struggles
- Experience with individual therapy
- Understanding, training and experience in the area of trauma and trauma informed practices
- An understanding of colonization, intergenerational trauma, and Indigenous practices and have direct experience working with Indigenous clients
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
- The ability to work both independently and flexibility
A Masters degree (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy) is required.
The therapist will receive regular supervision. The successful applicant will have a clear Criminal Record Check, Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks, Prior Contact Check, possess a valid driver’s license and have a vehicle.
