YOUR DAY TO DAY :
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Planning & Master Scheduling to lead end-to-end production planning and master scheduling within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role is accountable for translating customer demand, product lifecycles, and business priorities into executable production plans that ensure on-time delivery, revenue attainment, and optimized inventory levels across complex, high-mix electronic assemblies.
This position requires strong leadership, systems thinking, and cross-functional influence across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR / TO :
Strategic Planning & Master Scheduling
Own and govern the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and finished goods.
Translate customer forecasts, backlog, and program demand into time-phased production plans.
Balance capacity, material availability, long lead-time electronic components, and revenue priorities.
Lead scenario planning for demand volatility, component shortages, and capacity constraints.
Establish planning policies and scheduling standards aligned with electronics industry best practices.
Production Planning & Execution Oversight
Oversee work order planning, release, execution, and closure within ERP / MRP systems.
Ensure proactive management of material availability, shortage resolution, and component risk.
Partner with Operations to optimize SMT, test, and final assembly capacity.
Oversee Kanban and pull systems for high-volume or repeat-build electronic products.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the primary planning interface with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams.
Communicate schedule performance, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.
Provide planning inputs to daily production meetings, S&OP, and executive reviews.
Drive alignment in a fast-paced, matrixed electronics manufacturing environment.
Engineering Change & Product Lifecycle Management
Lead planning integration of ECRs, ECOs, and PCNs with minimal production disruption.
Manage new product introductions (NPI), product transitions, and end-of-life (EOL) planning.
Ensure ERP accuracy for BOMs, routings, alternates, and component substitutions.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Own planning KPIs including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and aging.
Lead root cause analysis for schedule misses and component-related delays.
Drive Lean, CI, and Kaizen initiatives focused on planning stability and material flow.
Standardize planning processes and documentation.
People Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop planners and master schedulers.
Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and development plans.
Build a culture of ownership, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB IF YOU HAVE :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
Prior people leadership experience preferred.
Advanced ERP / MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
Strong Excel skills; PowerBI or analytics tools preferred.
Deep understanding of BOM structures, electronic components, lead times, and capacity planning.
Experience managing engineering changes and NPIs.
Strong ownership and accountability.
Strategic and analytical thinker.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in high-mix, high-change electronics environments.
Experience in EMS, OEM electronics, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
APICS CPIM or similar certification.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and CI methodologies.
Proven change management and continuous improvement leadership.
Must be able to meet CGP requirements
