Twin Rivers Elementary School

Position : 1.0 FTE Teacher Librarian (Library, Early Intervention)

Temporary : Immediately – March 13, 2026 or full return of the incumbent

NOTE : This assignment may be extended.

Qualifications

• BC Certification
• Bachelor of Education in Elementary
• Bachelor of Education in Library Science or Diploma in Library Science is an asset
• Previous experience working as a teacher librarian at the elementary level is preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Destiny (automated library program)
• Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum, including the learning and core competencies and appropriate resources, is essential
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies is essential
• Demonstrated ability to integrate appropriate technologies into educational programs
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers in similar grades
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills

The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,337 to $111,450, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
