Purpose of Position :
To maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Carry out Maintenance duties on Company aircraft.
- Carry out and certify structural repairs to aircraft components.
- Carry out and certify structural repairs on Company aircraft.
- Report to Maintenance Crew Chief and Maintenance Supervisor on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft.
- Coordinate parts requirements with Maintenance Crew Chief and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Company standards.
- When applicable, provide instructional support to apprentice engineers to help guide their skill development.
- Complete and certify logbooks and work orders for work accomplished.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with Company requirements and Transport Canada regulations.
- Attend training courses as directed by the Company.
- Consult applicable repair manuals and manufacturer diagrams to guide troubleshooting and repair decisions.
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures, giving primary consideration to personal safety as well as the safety of co‑workers and customers.
- Maintain the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications :
All credentials listed below must be obtained and maintained as a condition of employment.Valid Transport Canada AME License, Category S.Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).Valid Canadian-issued driver’s license with no restrictions or conditions.Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).Experience performing heavy maintenance on CRJ 900, Dash 8-400 and / or E175 aircraft is considered a strong asset.Legal working authority in Canada is required.Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written, are required.Career Development Opportunities :
