The Data Center Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operational management and coordination of technology-related services within the GoA core Data Centres, Alberta Correctional Facilities, and remote sites. This role ensures the efficient and secure operation of IT infrastructures, manages a team providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization services, and ensures alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee technology services related to GoA Data Centres, Alberta Correctional Facilities, and remote sites. Implement and coordinate all IT facility services including WiFi management, equipment changes, and network optimization. Maintain and manage rack, power, cooling systems, and network closet infrastructures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance. Develop and implement disaster preparedness and regulatory compliance plans. Lead and supervise teams in asset management, procurement, and documentation processes. Provide consultation and troubleshooting support to clients and internal teams. Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure consistent service delivery. Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure seamless service and updates on operational status. Proven experience in managing IT facility services, data centres, or similar infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of network optimization, power management, environmental control, and rack systems. Ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Understanding of disaster preparedness, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Relevant certifications in IT management, infrastructure, or related fields are an asset.Qualification Bachelor Degree Job Related Sector(s) Server Analyst Experience
