Job description

We are currently hiring a Operations Specialist for our client located in Dartmouth NS . This is a great opportunity to work with a global logistics company. What We Offer :

Salary : 60k to 65k annually
Job Type / Shift : Permanent, full-time. Day shift with rotational weekends
Benefits : Medical and dental coverage , RRSP matching up to 4%

What You'll Do :

Daily management and coordination of shipments.

Collaborate and cooperate with overseas offices / agents to organize air and ocean shipments.

Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender / dispatch shipments.

Create / prepare shipping documents as required.

Work with customs brokers and customs agencies to arrange customs clearance / release for import shipments.

Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.

Track and trace all shipments.

Prepare and publish reports, as required. .

What We're Looking For :

A minimum of three years international transportation industry experience or,

Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study.

CIFFA certificate, an asset

Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.

Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening

Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances

English is the principal language for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations.

Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.

Microsoft Office suite

CargoWise experience, an asset
