Location : 1880 Britannia Road E, Mississauga, ON, L4W 1J3

Department : Information Technology

Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30AM to 5 : 00PM with afterhours availability

Are you excited to start your career in IT? Are you eager to apply the knowledge you’ve learned in school? We’re currently recruiting for an IT Support Intern. The co-op opportunity will be based out of our Canadian Head Office located in Mississauga, ON . The ideal candidate is someone with a solid fundamental background of IT skills and an unwavering enthusiasm to tackle the challenges that come their way.

The IT Support Intern is responsible for providing first level technical assistance to employees across the Canadian organization, by diagnosing and resolving technical issues as well as providing in–house application support to all users.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Administer user accounts and access levels across all IT infrastructure components
  • Provide assistance to staff relating to desktop application usage and technical issues
  • Troubleshoot and proactively resolve technical issues in a timely manner, providing status updates as necessary
  • Log all support interactions and ensure timely response and follow up
  • Co-ordinate IT services with external service providers
  • Manage consumables for all technical equipment such as printers, fax and copier
  • Support the business between 6AM to 8PM on a rotational basis and on weekends as required
  • Follow TIP Group’s standard support procedures
  • Participating in ongoing IT projects.

Job Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education related to IT Infrastructure
  • Experienced in Windows, Mac OS, iOS, MS Office 365 and Citrix desktop environment.
  • Experienced working with iOS and Android devices
  • Customer focused with demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity for independent work, including the ability to anticipate workflow, prioritize tasks, and see them through to completion
