Overview
Sales Engineer - IBM Automation role with Arrow in Canada. This role supports IBM solutions, partner enablement, and technical expertise in support of IBM solutions. Assists in the IBM Automation (Observability, FinOps, IT Financial Management) sales cycle including partner and customer discovery, analysis, design, demonstration, and refinement of technology solutions. Focus on IBM offerings with emphasis on Automation and IT areas; may assist in responding to customer proposals as required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Establish relationships with Arrow Supplier teams, partners and customers to support joint Sales, Marketing and Services objectives; engage and leverage resources, budgets and personnel as appropriate.
- Leverage knowledge of competitive solutions to consult with customers.
- Execute technical sales calls as lead or team member depending on the situation.
- Configure and document hardware, software, Cloud, service, and education solutions to enable partner / customer needs and supplier objectives.
- Complete required presales documentation quickly, accurately, and completely.
- Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, and decision-making processes.
- May perform a support role in Sales, Marketing, and Services leadership meetings.
- Present and market the design and value of proposed supplier technology solution and business case to partners, customers, prospects, and Arrow management.
- Possess detailed product / technology / industry knowledge.
- Knowledge of IBM Automation (Observability, FinOps, IT Financial Management) and related hardware, software, virtual & cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Kubernetes, and expertise in leveraging them for large-scale AI workloads.
- Ability to identify fundamental problems from real-world cloud use-cases and to design, build and validate successful AI solutions.
- Working knowledge of data workflows and foundation models.
What We Are Looking For
4-year degree with 5 years of related experience preferredIn-depth knowledge and experience with IBM Automation offerings and principles including current industry certificationsWorking knowledge of Watsonx.data, Watsonx.AI and Watsonx.governanceCertification(s) in Cloud technologies (IBM Automation / Red Hat OpenShift preferred)Certification(s) or experience in OSX, Windows and Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred)Certification(s) or experience in virtualization & container technologiesCertification(s) or experience in scripting or programming languagesAbility to present effectively in front of groupsClean and credible social media presenceTravel requirement : 30% - 40%Experience / Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
Work Arrangement
Fully Remote : Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership.

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
