The Opportunity
Working with the Vice President and Managers, the Team Lead, Commercial Operations will support and guide the Commercial Lines team through training and best practices.
The Team Lead will assist in the implementation of process workflows and ensure that staff are up to date with current procedures and processes.
The Responsibilities
Team Development
Provide support and training for new hires and existing employeesCollaborate with Team Leads in REP to cross-train and provide support as needed for off-program businessMaintain strict confidentiality for all corporate and employee issuesCoach and mentor new and experienced staff membersShare and reinforce service level guidelines and process workflowsWork with Learning and Development leaders to structure and facilitate quarterly soft skills trainingOperational
Collaborate effectively with Commercial Managers and Producers to ensure excellence in client serviceAct as the day-to-day “go-to” person for employee inquiries on technical, processing and / or training questionsAssist with problem solving in the absence of a managerFoster positive team and client relationshipsSupport team members through corporate initiatives and change managementReview processing for accuracy and regularly audit accounts as assignedAct as floater as required based on peak periods and schedulingProvide feedback to Managers on new hires with regards to training uptake and processing audit resultsParticipate in project implementation and EPIC super user groupStay current with new training and systems proceduresMaintain strong technical understanding of insurance coverages and productsWork with the Business Technology team to ensure that the current workflows and procedures are consistent with the rest of the organizationBuild out and update training workflows as neededSupport the production team on a small book of business to remain current with processesLead and facilitate the monthly team bulletin meetings – scheduling, agenda preparation and distribution of meeting minutesAdditional Responsibilities
Participate in project implementation and trainingReview audit reportsReconcile accounting transactions and activitiesOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by ManagerQualifications
Minimum two years Commercial industry experienceGeneral Agent Level 2 licenseIntermediate level of computer knowledgeExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
