This 116-year-old non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of over $70 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams : the 15-day annual summer Fair which averages more than 700000 people annually Playland amusement park which welcomes 400000 guests annually including Fright Nights and a busy year-round portfolio of events including concerts trade shows and film cultural and community total we bring over 2 million people through the site each year. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. We are seeking a diligent safety-focused and highly skilled Electrical Foreperson who has a passion for the events industry and the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE). Our Electrical Foreperson works under the directions of the Manager Facilities & Maintenance and Manager Event Conversions and is responsible for leading the electrical team that supports our facilities and event operations across Hastings Park including Playland but excluding ride maintenance electrical. This role is a working leader overseeing day-to-day electrical maintenance and event support ensuring all work is completed safely efficiently and in compliance with BC Electrical Code Technical Safety BC WorkSafeBC and PNE policies.
