Engineer Integrated Plant Design

Job Description Summary

The Engineer performs a key role within GE Hitachis Plant Systems Integration teams which focus on development of new advanced nuclear reactor projects (SMR and SFR). You will be responsible for engineering design support within a team environment working with other disciplines project / product stakeholders partner organizations and suppliers to advance plant conceptual and detailed design and successfully deliver a new plants project. You will be part of a large team working on integrating and coordinating multi-discipline activities to support the design of safe and economically superior reactor designs by employing a balance of cutting edge and proven technologies and will be responsible for development and implementation of licensing and technical requirements along with the associated work processes for advanced work in new nuclear plants.

This position requires access to and / or use of information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws which mandate all citizenships be from the U.S. Department of Energys List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A); otherwise a specific authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy will be required. The drug screen requirement in the background check process is not required if the role is based in Canada.

For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position the pay range for this position is between $70K and $110K CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.
