The Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager the Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. Physiotherapy assessment involves obtaining a detailed medical history, performing specific and standardized tests and evaluation procedures to determine a physical diagnosis. Holistic treatment programs are developed using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical and hydrotherapy techniques to assist the patient in regaining and / or maintaining an optimal level of function. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and patient management.

Successful candidates going into a residency placement outside of Central Zone will receive a signing bonus of $ with a defined Return of Service contract
