Shift Supervisor – Store #56860, Starbucks Paradise
Location : 1641 Top Sail Road, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and lead a team to deliver legendary customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and promotes Starbucks culture, values, and mission.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by continuously evaluating the environment.
- Communicates information to the store manager so that the team can respond and create the Third Place environment during each shift.
- Assists with new partner training by reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful, encouraging coaching.
- Provides feedback to the store manager on partner performance during the shift.
- Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing partner morale and performance changes and communicating them to the store manager.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to partners.
- Delivers legendary customer service to all customers, acting with a customer‑first attitude and connecting with the customer.
- Discovers and responds to customer needs.
- Develops positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety and security protocols.
- Ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team.
- Prepares and serves quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers.
- Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments and collaborates with the store manager to find new recognition methods.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
