Adjunct Faculty - Political Science

Manchester Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course‑by‑course basis; strong academic background is required.

We are accepting applications for instructors to teach on‑campus Political Science (State and Local Government) courses.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education : Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in Social Science with a specialty in Political Science. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Education shall require an Associate’s degree in a subject area closely related to Political Science.

Experience : Two years of teaching experience in Political Science or three years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of Political Science.

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in‑classroom or online instruction.

The Compensation Rate Is As Follows

Adjunct Instructor $825 per contact hour

Adjunct Lecturer – $900 per contact hour

Adjunct Senior Lecturer – $975 per contact hour

The Vice President of Academic Affairs will assign the adjunct faculty rank based on education and industry and / or teaching experience.
