The Manager will report directly to their respective partnershowever as part of the Senior Accounting team this individual willbe provided the opportunity to mentor our junior andintermediatelevel accountants.

KeyDuties &Responsibilities
- Supervisingthe preparation of financial statements of business clientsreviewing the work of Staff Accountants and completing complexportions of the file;
- Maintaining high qualitycontrol by overseeing and reviewing Compilation and ReviewEngagements;
- Reviewing Corporate Personal andTrust income tax returns and other taxforms;
- Reviewing investigating and correctingdiscrepancies and irregularities in financial entries andreports;
- Making recommendations based onanalysis and status of reserves assets andexpenditures;
- Performing technical researchdeveloping and documenting tax planning recommendations forindividuals and corporations;
- Assisting withthe execution of corporatereorganizations;
- Overseeing the organizationand prioritization of the work of Staff Accountants including themanagement of engagement costs andbillings;
- Mentoring and supporting theprofessional development needs of StaffAccountants;
- Managing a portfolio of clientsensuring their needs are met and that relationships and accountsgrow and develop; and
- Contributing to thedevelopment of new ideas and approaches to improve workprocesses.
Qualifications
Education&Experience :
- Undergraduatedegree in a relevant field;
- CA or CPAdesignation with a minimum of 5 years public practice experiencedealing with the accounting and taxation needs of private companiesand their shareholders;
- Comprehensiveexperience in compilation and review preparation;and
- Experience leading and supervisingstaff.
Skills &Knowledge :
- Knowledge ofrelevant accounting frameworks and file documentation bestpractices;
- Extensive knowledge of AccountingStandards for Private Enterprise(ASPE);
- Proficient in Caseware andProfile;
- Strong business acumen;and
- Strong computer skills (MSOffice).
