What youll be doing

As a member of CIBCs QA Production Acceptance Testing ( PAT) team the Consultant Performance Tester is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts across multiple platforms in compliance with established controls standards policies and procedures. The Consultant Performance Tester troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards.

Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.

How youll succeed

Testing Expertise- Good understanding of performance testing and its lifecycle as well as the fundamentals and concepts such as workload models pacing correlation think time. Ability to speak the language of performance testing. Analyze define and translate business and non functional requirements use cases designs and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate performance testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources. Ability to troubleshoot or raise / log performance defects.

Relationship Building- Respond to clients inquiries and requests providing professional high quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or address issues demonstrating good written and oral communication skills.

Technical Expert- Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track / provide progress testing status reporting as needed. Adhere to CIBCs processes through all phases of the software development life cycle-ensure test activities are compliant to test standards. Recognizing anticipating and resolving testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle.

Who you are

You can demonstrate 4-6 years of experience in. Software Testing Life Cycle Agile and Waterfall methodologies QA approaches Tools Techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems. It is an asset if you have programmed in Java or Python and if you have built simulators or have knowledge of Parasoft visualize. Strong experience using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools and executing different test types developing scripts analyzing results and creating HTML reports. Proven experience using Neoload JMeter Microfocus ALM Loadrunner Performance Center Load Runner Enterprise or equivalent tool as well as Microsoft Office.
