Overview

The successful candidate will join Gallagher Re at an exciting time as the company launches its new Global Data Analytics function.

The Data team is recruiting Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers and Software Engineers to join us in developing innovative Data Products that change the way that insurers, reinsurers, and broking teams understand and manage risk.

About the team :

  • You will join a new team of experienced actuaries, data scientists, brokers, and subject matter experts to develop the next generation of client-focused data-driven applications : blending data, software engineering, and industry knowledge.
  • The team heavily leverages technologies such as R or Python and Azure Cloud services.
  • With strong executive support and ambitious growth plans, data is central to Gallagher Re’s strategy.
  • Joining the team at an early stage you will help effect change that improves business workflows and empowers fellow employees to do with modern cloud technologies.
  • Your work will deliver real world business value, enabling Gallagher Re to offer clients market leading risk analysis, and win new business.

Summary :

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to help the Global Data Analytics team develop and deliver innovative data products. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Lead Software Engineer, other data analysts, and business stakeholders to identify and solve data-driven problems.

  • Identify and communicate data-driven insights
  • Develop and deploy data visualizations
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and define success metrics
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data analytics trends and technologies
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., statistics, computer science, mathematics)
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or software development
  • Strong programming skills in R or Python and SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Desire to learn
  • Desirable Qualifications :

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Git and Posit Connect
  • Experience with insurance data
  • Knowledge of the reinsurance industry
  • Data visualization and presentation
