About the Role

Limpact International is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in Cobourg, ON. This role is responsible for ensuring our production team and our product continue to meet our high-quality standards from beginning to end. This is a crucial role within our organization for the continued maintenance of our reputation for cathode excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Quality function
  • Monitor Quality metrics to analyze trends, facilitate problem solving and identify and implement corrective actions
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure document control, process standardization and consistent adherence to quality procedures
  • Plan, schedule and oversee quality audits
  • Prepare documentation and lead the Management Review Meetings
  • Provide direction and leadership to the quality assurance team
  • Mentor, train, and educate employees on quality system requirements and best practices
  • Maintain and update all plant quality processes, including ISO 9001 standards for external audit

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven leadership in problem-solving and quality initiatives
  • Ability to analyze complex information and technical data
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis and quality metrics
  • In-depth understanding of quality management principles, tools and methodologies
  • Teamwork and collaboration with operations, manufacturing, sales and finance
  • Working knowledge and application of ISO quality standards, prior audit experience
  • Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing / 5S methodologies
  • Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree or college diploma) in Manufacturing, Science, Engineering, Quality or in a related field is an asset
