Our client, Velan Inc., a global leader in the manufacturing of industrial valves, is seeking a Financial Controller based in Granby to oversee financial operations and ensure data accuracy for its North American plants.

Responsibilities :

  • Financial Analysis : Explain financial results and budget variances, and present strategic recommendations;
  • Budgeting and Forecasting : Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecast future financial performance;
  • Internal Controls : Maintain effective internal controls to protect company assets;
  • Leadership and Collaboration : Collaborate with the operational team to ensure financial performance and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    • If the following describes you :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
  • 10 years of experience in finance, including 5 years in a manufacturing company;
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting;
  • Advanced skills in financial software and Excel;
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
